Concierge Medical Care

Hello everyone! It has been quiet on here for quite a while. I have not posted on The Wise Patient in over a year now. I wanted to let you all know that I have been working on something big and its with great pleasure that I get to share that news with you now.

I am looking forward to joining Dr. Kevin Lutz at Concierge Medical Care in January 2023. Concierge medicine is a fantastic practice model that emphasizes the direct relationship between you and your doctor. With a yearly subscription fee, you have access to your doctor 24/7 via phone call, text messaging and email. Same day or next day appointments are available and yearly wellness visits are booked for 2 hours. We can accommodate these services by limiting our patient panels to only 200-300 patients.

FAQs

If you are not familiar with the concierge medicine model, read some of our frequently asked questions below:

1. Annual fee:

-$3600 per year. If you join with a partner, then the partner gets a 20% discount.

2. What is included in the cost:

– unlimited office visits, emails, and telehealth appointments with me. No copays

– 24/7 access to my cell phone and HIPPA compliant texting capabilities

– vaccines stored in our office (flu, pneumonia, hepatitis, tetanus etc)

– procedures done in the office (joint injections, skin procedures, EKGs, etc)

– discounted membership to Medjet, which is a global medical transport service

– you will never get another bill from our office outside the annual fee

3. Do we have hospital affiliations?

-I can coordinate your care with any hospital needed. If you are admitted to a hospital, you will be taken care of by a team of hospitalists. The benefit of concierge service is that they can call my cell phone too with any questions or concerns or follow up plans.

4. Do our patient still need insurance?

-Our patients must keep some form of insurance to cover the cost of hospitalizations or specialty visits. We do not bill insurance for any services provided at my clinic. You can chose whatever insurance you want.

5. How are labs and medications handled?

-Labs are ordered through LabCorp or Quest and will be collected at their facilities. These companies will bill your insurance separately. Medications can be e-prescribed to any pharmacy you want. We will use GoodRx or the pharmacy of your choice will bill your insurance, whichever is better for you.

6. Can I use my FSA or HSA to cover the cost of the membership fee?

-Yes! Paying the membership fee with your FSA or HSA is a great use of those funds and it saves you money.

I am convinced that concierge medicine is the best way to practice medicine for patients, doctors and the medical staff. I believe that this is a trend that will only continue to grow in the future. If you are interested in learning more about concierge medicine or my new practice, click here!
